Elbow pain is common in the population. The most common causes include lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow) and medial epicondylitis (golfer’s elbow). These are usually repetitive injuries and be a nagging issue for the patient. Treatment is usually with physical therapy and medications. Injections such as hydrocortisone and platelet rich plasma can help to provide comfort. Occasionally in recalcitrant cases surgery is necessary.
Dr. Yegappan does platelet rich plasma injections for these conditions.
